COVID-19 RESOURCES 2020

 Dear Parents/Guardians of Highland Avenue Students,

 In response to the Covid-19 Pandemic, all schools in the great state of Alabama are closed through April 6, 2020 or until further notice of return date.  The administrative team and teachers at Highland Avenue are committed to ensuring that implement strategies to minimize learning gaps that may occur while students are away from school.  Online resources and interactive activities are available for every child, every day via our school’s webpage.  Students have individualized learning paths for instruction via Edgenuity which can be accessed through CLEVER. I am confident that your child(ren) are familiar with this resource.  If you have access to the internet, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher via email for your child’s login information.  Your child’s teacher’s email address is their first name.last name@mps.k12.al.us

Please give the teacher a 24-hour window to respond. I encourage you to check the school’s website if you have difficulty accessing the teacher’s email address, in addition to accessing  web-based resources and activities. If you experience any difficulties, please contact the school between the hours of 9 A.M. -12 Noon, Monday-Friday.  At-home resource packets are also available at the school.  Please be sure to call the office before reporting to pick up packets.  Packets are available during the pandemic response office hours. 

 

I encourage you to stay tuned to information from Governor Kay Ivey, State Superintendent Dr. Eric Mackey, and Montgomery Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Ann Roy Moore regarding updates related to public school education in Alabama and schools in the city of Montgomery.
